Ingredients
- 3 Medium Red or White Onions Sliced
- 1 Tbsp Butter
- 1/2 Tsp Salt
- 1/2 Tsp Sugar
- 1 Tbsp Jam (this makes it much sweeter)
Method
Melt the butter in a pan on a medium heat.
Add the onions, salt and sugar.
Turn the heat down to low and put a lid on and cook for 40 minutes or so until the onions are caramelised. It can take a bit longer.
When they are almost ready add the spoonful of jam.
